OASIS Research Community – User Terms and Agreements

Welcome to the Oasis Research Community (“OASIS”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). These User Terms
and Agreements govern your access to and use of the website oasisresearchcommunity.org and all associated services,
including membership, training, publishing support, and consultancy engagement.
By registering or using any part of our platform, you agree to the following terms.
1. Eligibility and Membership
- OASIS membership is open to students, graduates, researchers, institutions, and professionals with
an interest in research and evidence-based work.
- You must be at least 16 years old to join. If under 18, you confirm that you have parental or
institutional consent.
- Your membership tier (Student, Graduate, Fellow, or Institution) must reflect your current status.
We reserve the right to request verification.
2. Account Use and Conduct
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when signing up and to keep it
updated.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account. Do not share your login details.
- You must not use OASIS for any illegal, unethical, or misleading purposes.
- Any abusive behaviour, plagiarism, or misrepresentation of qualifications may lead to immediate
suspension or termination of your account.
3. Payments and Refunds
- Some membership tiers and services (e.g. training courses, publication support) require payment.
- Prices are listed clearly on relevant pages and may change. Existing subscribers will be notified
of any pricing adjustments in advance.
- All payments are processed securely via Stripe or Flutterwave.
- Refunds are not guaranteed but may be considered on a case-by-case basis for serious issues (e.g.
technical failure, medical emergencies), and must be requested within 7 days of purchase.
4. Use of Materials
- All content you upload (research papers, bios, CVs, etc.) remains your intellectual property. By
submitting it, you grant OASIS a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, host, and promote your
content within the platform.
- You must not upload content that you do not own or have permission to use.
- Course materials, toolkits, and templates shared with you are for personal or institutional use
only. Do not redistribute, resell, or plagiarise our materials.
5. Training, Certification & Publishing Support
- Enrolment in courses does not guarantee certification unless full participation and requirements
are met.
- We do not guarantee publication of your work, but offer honest support, guidance, and feedback.
- Publishing support does not include ghostwriting. We will assist with editing, formatting, and
guidance, but you remain the author and responsible party.
6. Privacy and Data Use
- We collect personal information (name, email, occupation, etc.) solely for registration, service
delivery, and communication purposes.
- Your data will never be sold or shared without your consent.
- You may request deletion of your data or account at any time by emailing support@oasisresearchcommunity.org. Full

7. Opportunities and Community Engagement
- Members may receive invitations to join paid projects, co-publish, or deliver training, based on
merit and availability.
- We do not guarantee placements or paid engagements for any tier.
- Any collaborations with external organisations will be clearly stated, and members will never be
asked to pay to apply for jobs or consultancy work.
8. Termination and Suspension
- You may cancel your membership or account at any time.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms, misuse of the
platform, or fraud.
- Termination does not entitle you to a refund unless a clear error was made on our side.
9. Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms and Agreements as needed. You’ll be notified of significant changes via
email or a notice on the website.
- Continued use of the platform after changes implies acceptance.
